Add a Media Collection

Add a Media Collection

A Media Collection represents a set of related media content, such as high and low resolution versions of the same video.

  1. In the edit form, begin by adding a title, keywords, and a description as normal.
  2. Optional: add the names (one per line) of those who were responsible for creating the original media in the "Credit" field.
  3. Optional: write a formatted description in the editor.
  4. Optional: add (if you have the appropriate permission) or select one or more types in the "Type(s)" field. Examples: video shoot, photo shoot, etc.
  5. Optional: upload an image that will be used in different views of this content.
  6. Although both the "Associated Media" and "Information for Externally Hosted Media" fields are optional, one of them should be filled in or there will be no media in the collection. To browse for media items in the Origami site, use the Associated Media field and select one or more. To link to externally hosted (i.e. content served from a different machine) media, fill in the sub-fields for Information for Externally Hosted Media. These two fields may both be filled in for the same collection, to combine internal and external media.
  7. Finally, click the "Save" button and if there are no errors detected, you will be taken to the page displaying this collection.
