This is release 1_0_2 of File Bridge Extension for Blackboard and the Xythos Digital Locker (or Xythos Web File Server) This release includes the full source and also binaries for the three project components:

• A File Bridge Extension building block, distributed as a zip file to be installed on the Blackboard server.
• A web application called XythosTicketAgent, distributed as a war file to be installed on the Xythos Digital Locker Server's Tomcat instance.
• A set of class files that handle custom authentication for Xythos. These files need to be installed in the xythos custom folder of the Xythos Digital Locker Server instance.

What is new in version 1.0.2

This is a bug fix release. This version fixes some bugs in version 1.0.1 that may have prevented proper installation of File Bridge's Xythos side. Issues fixed by this release are:

• Issue #5: release 1.0.1 introduced an incorrectly named war file for the Xythos-side web application (xythosticketagent)
• Issue #6: the product documentation in previous releases failed to correctly explain the configuration needs in terms of the password configuration file as it relates to the Xythos side web application (xythosticketagent)

What is new in version 1.0.4

This is a bug fix release. It includes fixes for issues uncovered in version 1.0.3 (issues #8 and #9 in the project's bug tracker) While issue #9 may affect only a small number of installations, issue #8 requires immediate attention as it will prevent the 1.0.3 version of the product to work with Xythos installations that are accessed over an SSL connection. As version 1.0.3, this release provides support for Xythos version 7+, and it IS NOT backwards compatible with Xythos versions 5 and 6, so if you need to work with these earlier Xythos versions, you will need to use File Bridge 1.0.2 instead. Also, as the binaries distributed here have been compiled with Java 1.5, if your version of Blackboard Learning System is lower than 7, please follow included instructions to recompile the building block included in this distribution with Java 1.4. As of version 1.0.3, the File Bridge tool now opens up the Xythos user interface in a new window. In addition, new File Bridge links created in Blackboard will also open up in a new window.
